Crimean Tatar Diaspora in Romania Plans to Implement a Project on Publication of Book, Dedicated to Destinies of Crimean Tatars in Romania
Making the working visit to Romania, on June 24, 2012 the delegation of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people visited the family of our national, native of Alushta, who appeared in Dobruja at the age of 13 during the occupation of Romania by the Soviet troops.
The local Crimean Tatars helped him to change his name, in order to escape from the repressions of the Soviet NKVD that already after the war chased for the refugees – Crimean Tatars from Crimea in Romania in order to exile them to the places of deportation of the Crimean Tatar people to the Central Asia and Russia – Ural.
The hardships and the history of life of the native of Alushta who appeared in Romania served a basis for the implementation of the project on publication of the book, dedicated to the destinies of Crimean Tatars in Romania, that had to change their names in order to escape from the ethnic persecutions and repressions of the Communist regime.
Living in Romania, fearing for their personal safety and their family members they constantly suffered from the hard stress.
