Simferopol City Council Started Preparation to Events, Timed to the Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of Deportation from Crimea

The meeting of the Organizational Committee on preparation and carrying out of the events, timed to the Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of Deportation from Crimea was held in the hall of Simferopol City Council.

The meeting was chaired by the Vice-Head of Simferopol on the activity of the executive organs, Igor Skutsky.

The members of the Presidium of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Zair Smedlyaev and Zevdzhet Kertumerov took part in the work of the Organizational Committee.

The issues, related to the preparation and carrying out of the mourning events on May 17-18, 2012 were discussed at the meeting.

Igor Skutsky asked the members of the Organizational Committee to tell in details about the course of preparation to the memorial events. One of the main questions, addressed to the representatives of the law enforcement agencies was ensuring the order during the marching and holding of the mourning meeting. The state traffic police officials were ordered to ensure safe moving of the participants and citizens of the city during the events.

The next session plans to check complete readiness to the events, timed to the Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of Deportation

from Crimea in accordance with the order of the Council of Ministers of AR Crimea.
