Mejlis’ Leader Mustafa Jemilev Visits the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus

The Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Jemilev in the framework of his visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to take part in the state funeral ceremony of the founder and first President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Rauf Denktash gave the dinner on January 17, 2012, attended by the Speaker of the Parliament of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Hasan Bozer, public and political figures and MPs from Kosovo, Bosnia and Macedonia.

On the same day Mustafa Jemilev met with the group of Crimean Tatar students, studying at the Middle Eastern University Northern Cyprus.

The founder and first President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Rauf Denktash (1983-2005) died on January 13, 2012, aged 88. Rauf Denktash state funeral ceremony was held in Lefkosia town on January 17, 2012.
