1st of September – Knowledge Day!

On September 1, 2012 the ceremonial events, timed to the Knowledge Day were held in all Crimean schools.

This day as in the previous years the members of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, regional and local mejlises visited Crimean Tatar schools and schools with Crimean Tatar classes.

The First Vice Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov visited Eski-Qirim (Stary Krym) secondary school #2, attended by 361 school children, including 35 first graders.

The event was also attended by the Head of Islyam-Terek (Kirovsky) regional Mejlis Ekrem Abdulvaatov, Head of Eski-Qirim town Mejlis Dilyaver Ismailov, Head of Eski-Qirim ummah Rasim Sadredinov, tutor of the basis of Islam Reshid odzha Keles, Mayor of Eski-Qirim Peter Katjuk, Deputy Head of Islyam-Terek regional state administration Amet Halitov.

As reported, Eski-Qirim Crimean Tatar secondary school was opened in 1995 due to parents and Crimean Tatar teachers’ persistent demands that got united around Eski-Qirim town Mejlis. Ayshe Chabanova made her special contribution to the opening of the school. Since its opening she heads the school.

During the 16 years of its existence the school made many new friends, particularly from Poland and Turkey that favored to almost complete reconstruction of an old building that was allotted to Crimean Tatar school and the classes were equipped with modern teaching facilities, PCs and text-books…

The most exciting moment for everyone was the reading of the long list the graduates 2012 who were enrolled to the higher educational establishments of Ukraine and other countries, as well as the marching of the first graders.

In conclusion of the ceremonial event there was a meeting of the school guests with its administration. Among the priority tasks the school administration stated the establishment of a section of national wrestling Kuresh and addressed the Crimean Federation of national wrestling Kuresh to assist in purchasing of a wrestling mat…
