Newspaper “Segodnya” opened Crimean branch in Aqmescit (Simferopol)
The Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, MP of Ukraine Mustafa Jemilev was invited by Guillermo Schmitt, CEO, editor-in-chief of “Segodnya Multimedia” PJSC to take part in the reception on occasion of the opening of the Crimean office of newspaper “Segodnya” in Simferopol.
Greeting the guests, Guillermo Schmitt told that the social and political full-color newspaper “Segodnya” has been issued in Ukraine already for four years. During that period it opened its regional offices in Odessa, Kyiv, Donetsk, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk. “Due to the financial crisis we suspended opening of new offices in the regions, but regardless the difficulties we decided to recommence implementation of our plan on localization of newspaper “Segodnya” in major cities of Ukraine,” – continued Mr. Schmitt. “We believe that the residents and guests of Crimea will feel and appreciate the changes in our newspaper”.
Since May 19, 2011 all-Ukrainian weekly newspaper “Segodnya” started its local issue “Segodnya Crimea”. Every issue of the newspaper is prepared by the editorial staff of Crimean office, headed by its chief editor Maik Lvovsky.
