{"id":33080,"date":"2012-11-27T23:39:00","date_gmt":"2012-11-27T20:39:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/qtmm.org\/?p=33080"},"modified":"2022-01-21T23:40:43","modified_gmt":"2022-01-21T20:40:43","slug":"fifth-session-of-the-forum-on-minority-issues-of-un-human-rights-council-opens-in-geneva","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/qtmm.org\/en\/fifth-session-of-the-forum-on-minority-issues-of-un-human-rights-council-opens-in-geneva\/","title":{"rendered":"Fifth Session of the Forum on Minority Issues of UN Human Rights Council Opens in Geneva"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On November 27, 2012 the 5th Session of the Forum on Minority Issues of the UN Human Rights Council opened in the UN Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The UN General Secretary Mr Pan Gi Mun\u2019s video-address opened the Forum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 5th Session of the Forum on Minority Issues will address the topic: \u201cImplementing the Declaration on the Rights of Persons Belonging to National or Ethnic, Religious and Linguistic Minorities: Identifying positive practices and opportunities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2012 the United Nations Organization celebrates the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration on the Rights of Persons Belonging to National or Ethnic, Religious and Linguistic Minorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 20th anniversary gives the significant reason to examine various directions of practical application and implementation of the Declaration and to learn how it affects the separate aspects of the state\u2019s legislation, national mechanisms and their activity on protection of the rights of persons, belonging to the national minorities from the point of view of various parties concerned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people is represented by the Deputy Head of Mejlis\u2019 Foreign Relations Department, delegate of Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people Abduraman Egiz.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On November 27, 2012 the 5th Session of the Forum on Minority Issues of the UN Human Rights Council opened in the UN Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
