On March 23, 2012 the members of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Shevket Khaybullaev, Ali Hamzin and Zair Smedlyaev met with the President of Uigur Pen-Center of the International Pen-Club, Khayser Abdurasul Ozgur in Mejlis\u2019 office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting was also attended by the famous Crimean Tatar writer Urie Edemova and the chief editor of \u201cYildyz\u201d (Star) magazine, Dilyaver Osmanov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main goal of Khayser Ozgun\u2019s visit to Crimea is the acquaintance with Crimea, meetings with the representatives of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, as well as Crimean Tatar poets and writers. \u201cThe main topic is the holding of the 4th<\/sup> International Conference of Ural-Altay Pen-Club (VI Ural-Altay PEN-birli\u011fi Konferans\u0131),\u201d- Mr. Ozgun noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Khayser Ozgun also underscored that he is also very interested in the opinion of the Leader of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Mustafa Jemilev concerning the scheduled Conference. \u201cThe meeting with Mustafa Jemilev will be a great honor for me, as he is a very honorable man among the whole Muslim and Turkic world,\u201d- Mr. Ozgun noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Khayser Ozgun told in details about the creation of Yigur Pen-Center that is the part of the International Pen-Center with the Headquarters in Sweden and its branch office in Kazakhstan. Yigur Pen-Center has held its conferences in Turkey, Hungary and Mongolia and is planning to hold its forth conference in Crimea. \u201cThe mentioned decision wasn\u2019t accidental, – the guest continued. There is a lot that unites our peoples, first of all it is the similarity of our languages. There is almost no difference between us, or they are very small\u201d. The Conference is planned for summer 2012 and it is very likely that it will be held in the former capital of Crimean Tatar state Bakhchisaray. The event will be attended by the delegates of the Turkic speaking countries, as well as Japan, Korea and Estonia. The Conference\u2019s working languages to be Crimean Tatar and English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pen-club is an International non-Governmental organization that unites the professional writers and journalists, working in various literary genres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The organization\u2019s goal is to promote cooperation between the writers around the world. Another Pen-Club\u2019s goal is to develop the practice of the literary translation. The organization supports the writers, held in custody, or experiencing financial difficulties, or suppressed by the political regimes that the participants of the Club determine as being repressive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
