June 7, 2011 UNESCO expert Professor Bernd von Droste visited the towns of Stary Krym and Eupatoria in the frameworks of his work on examination of the cultural and natural heritage of Crimea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Stary Krym he examined the remnants of the walls of Beybars Mosque \u2013 one of the most ancient mosques of Crimea built in 1287-1288, the territory and premises of Uzbek Mosque with adjusting ruins of Madrasah (built in 1314), as well as the ruins of Kurshun-Jami (Leaden Mosque) built in the 14th century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the afternoon on the same day Professor Bernd von Droste came to Eupatoria where he examined Jumah-Jami Mosque (Khan-Jami), Karaite Kenasse, Dervish Tekie and Odun-Bazar Qapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, Professor Bernd von Droste was toured around the old Eupatoria with its monuments of architecture \u2013 ecclesiastical architecture of various religions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Bernd von Droste in his working visit was accompanied by the President of the World Congress of Crimean Tatars, member of the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea Refat Chubarov, Head of Department of foreign relations of Crimean Tatar Mejlis Ali Khamzin, Professor\u2019s assistant, Candidate of Architecture Ricardo Shmidt and lecturer of the chair of history of Crimean Engineering \u2013 Pedagogical University, archeologist Emil Seydaliev.
