Born in Eni-Kale village in the family of a Muslim divine. He finished primary school in Karasubazar, and then studied at secondary school-rushdiye in Simferopol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 1921 he was enrolled to workers&#8217; courses of KrymGU (Crimean State University), but gave up it soon due to financial difficulties. Then he worked in Narkomnats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Amdi Giraybay wrote his first verse in 1913. The peak of his talent falls on 1918-1923. In this period he wrote his best works: \u201cDzhigitke\u201d (To a Horseman) 1918, \u201cAnma Su Kunleri\u201d (Don\u2019t Recall that Days) 1920, \u201cYash Tatarlarga\u201d (To Young Tatars) 1921, \u201cKhosh Keldiniz\u201d (Wellcome) 1921. At that period he also wrote such plays as: \u201cEski Tatar Mektebi\u201d (An Old Tatar School) 1921, \u201cOksuzler\u201d (Orphans) 1923. Some of Giraybay\u2019s works cover the social and political events of the late 18th century in Crimea: poems \u201cTintuv\u201d (Roundup) 1920, \u201cKechti Endi\u201d (Passed On) 1922, \u201cIdzhret\u201d (Emigration) 1923.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 1923 the notable political figure of the first Crimean Government Veli Ibragimov promoted Amdi Giraybay\u2019s visit to Turkey. There he studied at Istanbul university, wrote dissertation titled \u201cthe History of Crimea\u201d in which he developed the ideas of pan-Turkism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 1926 he returned to Crimea. He worked in regional council of Association of new alphabet. In 1928 he was arrested in connection with the trial against the Crimean Tatar national party \u201cMilli-Firka\u201d. He was charged of nationalism and spying.
