On April 30, 2011 the Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, MP of Ukraine Mustafa Jemilev received at his office the delegation of Rumanian scientists that arrived at Crimea to take part in the work of the International conference \u201cCrimean Khanate and Rumania, 15 \u2013 18 centuries\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The delegation of Rumanian scientists consisted mainly of historians and political scientists, headed by the deputy chairman of Democratic Union of Muslims Turk \u2013 Tatars (RMTTDB) Samir Minan and director of Institute of Turkish and Central-Asian Studies (ITCAS) Babe\u015f-Bolyai University, ex-ambassador of Rumania to the Republic of Azerbaijan and Republic of Turkmenistan, professor Tasin Jemil. The delegation included Dr. Veniamin Chobanu \u2013 chief scientific researcher of the Institute of History \u00abA.D.Xenopol\u00bb of the Academy of Sciences of Rumania (Yassy), professor Dr. Virgil Chokyltan \u2013 chief scientific researcher of the Institute of History named after Nicolay Iorg of the Academy of Sciences of Rumania (Bucharest), professor Kelyn Felezeu \u2013 dean of the department of psychological and pedagogical studies, Babe\u015f-Bolyai University (Kluzh-Napoka), professor Evgen Nicolae \u2013 deputy director of the National Archeological Museum of the Academy of Sciences of Rumania (Bucharest), professor Adrian Tertecheli – Institute of History named after Nicolay Iorg of the Academy of Sciences of Rumania (Bucharest), Vasile Simileanu \u2013 publicist, director of journal \u00abGEOPOLITIKA\u00bb (Bucharest), associate professor Bekov Karoli \u2013 dean of the department of history-philosophy of Babe\u015f-Bolyai University (Kluzh-Napoka), Dr. Virgil Koman \u2013 director of the branch of the National Archive of Rumania in Constantia, Dr. Stoyka Lasku – associate professor of University of \u201cOvidius\u201d (Constantia), Dr. Anka Popesku \u2013 scientific worker of the Institute of History named after Nicolay Iorg of the Academy of Sciences of Rumania (Bucharest), Dr. Marius-Gerald Epure \u2013 representative of city hall of Constantia, Dr. Margarita Rakita-Aslan \u2013 employee of the Institute of Turkish and Central-Asian Studies, Babe\u015f-Bolyai University (Kluzh-Napoka), Dr. Adina Fodor \u2013 scientist secretary of the Institute of Turkish and Central-Asian Studies Babe\u015f-Bolyai University (Kluzh-Napoka), Dr. Serjan Osman \u2013 official of the European Union (Brussels), Dr. Naji Pianaru \u2013 scientific worker of Institute of History named after Nicolay Iorg of the Academy of Sciences of Rumania (Bucharest), Osman Nikhat \u2013 editor of journal \u201cKARADE\u00d1\u0130Z\u201d, Omer Metin \u2013 MA, University of \u201cOvidius\u201d (Constantia), Aygul Janybay – MA, University of \u201cOvidius\u201d (Constantia).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting was also attended by the President of the World Crimean Tatar Congress Refat Chubarov and the head of the international relations department of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ali Khamzin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The participants of the meeting considered and discussed a range of particular initiatives and propositions aimed at the development of co-operation between Crimean Tatar and Rumanian scientists and systematic studies of the historical relations between the Crimean Tatar and Rumanian peoples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The emphasize was made that the active work of Crimean Tatar diaspora in Rumania, including preservation of its own culture, language and religious distinctiveness that received a special impulse after Rumania entered the EU, opened new possibilities as for engagement of the international community into the processes of restoration of the rights of the Crimean Tatar people in its historical native land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the meeting the Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Jemilev answered many questions of Rumanian scientists concerning the history of Crimean Tatars\u2019 fight for return to Crimea and their today\u2019s status in Ukraine. In conclusion Mustafa Jemilev wished fruitful work and success to the participants of the coming conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
