Biography

• 2002 – Chairman of the Bakhchisarai Regional Mejlis;
• 2002–2010 – member of the Council of Representatives of the Crimean Tatar People under the President of Ukraine.
• Since 2008 – Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people.
• Since 2019 – People’s Deputy of Ukraine of the 9th convocation; Head of the Subcommittee on Ethnopolitics, Rights of Indigenous Peoples and National Minorities of Ukraine of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Human Rights, Deoccupation and Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories in Donetsk, Luhansk Oblasts and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the City of Sevastopol, National Minorities and International Relations
